What’s your thoughts? Do you think a four days school week is better than a five day? And if they increase the hours per day would you be happy or do you think it should be left as it is? or would you prefer them to reduce them to less than four days? What’s your thoughts? Drop them in the comments below ⬇️ #school #children #mentalhealth #schooldays
SEL week at Welborn ended with an opportunity for scholars to SHOUT out friends and staff members who make an impact in their life. Stop by the cafeteria to check them out. You may find one dedicated to you or your bestie! Thank you to our counseling team and the Good Vibes club for organizing this activity. @gcschoolsnc
At recess, our students are doing more than just playing—they’re growing socially and emotionally, too! Through engaging activities, students practice affirmation self-talk and learn to identify and name their emotions, helping them build confidence, self-awareness, and resilience.
These intentional moments support our students’ social and emotional journey by empowering them to recognize how they feel, use positive language with themselves, and develop skills that support healthy relationships and learning—on the playground and beyond. A special thank you to our School Psychologist and Clinical-Based Therapist for bringing this meaningful work to life and supporting the well-being of our All-Star students. @downey_unified @dusd_specialeducation #ourkidsdeservethebest
Having conversations with young people about leaving secondary school or moving onto secondary are really important. When young people feel like they don't have a voice on these subjects in can create anxiety. #Movingup
The Monarch R U Okay? Initiative
At Monarch, we strive to cultivate a culture of care and wellbeing for ourselves, each other, and the communities around us. Part of this is equipping our students to read signs of wellness and dysregulation in themselves and others. We emulate the message of, “R U Okay?” by being noticers. Noticers are equipped to observe someone’s body language, countenance, and behavior. Noticers can also be doers by actively caring for someone when they are not okay.
