Ep 39 | - Hoisin Sauce | HOW TO SHOP AT YOUR LOCAL ASIAN GROCER A sweet, savoury and salty Cantonese style sauce made from fermented soybean paste and seasoned with things like five spice, sugar and other regional variational ingredients. Great to use in stir fries, stews and dips. Often paired with roast duck or hard as a meat glaze for grilled/bbq meats. Try adding a teaspoon or two to stews and stir fry’s to add complexity and flavour to them or use as a dip for more bland things like poached chicken and veggies. 🎥 at Jadan on Dominion Rd, Auckland, New Zealand. #hoisin #hoisinsauce #howtoshop #asiangrocer #shoppingguide #masterchef #modernchinese #foodie #recipes

You know that sauce that makes summer rolls dangerously addictive? Yeah, that one 😌 🇻🇳👀 Here’s how I make my peanut hoisin dipping sauce: • 2 big tbsp hoisin sauce • 50ml soy sauce • 150ml warm water • 1 tbsp sugar • 2 tbsp minced garlic + shallots • 1 tbsp oil • 1–2 tbsp peanut butter (too much will thicken the sauce) Sauté the garlic and shallots in oil till golden and fragrant, then add everything else. Stir until smooth and let it simmer for a few minutes on low heat until it starts to bubble a little. Or until it starts to thicken. Top with chilli and crushed peanuts if you like! Savoury and slightly sweet… it sure does hit the spot!!! 😮‍💨🥵 #vietnamesefood #sauce #homemade #summerrolls #vietnamese #easyrecipes #foodreel #recipe #fyp #explore #food #cooking #goicuon #peanutsauce #hoisin #vietnam #love #yummy #healthy
