Wykonawcy: Berliner Philharmoniker, Herbert von Karajan. -------------- Jak myślę sobie, kto mógłby być łącznikiem między muzyką klasyczną a współczesną muzyką instrumentalną znaną ze ścieżek dźwiękowych filmów i gier to przychodzi mi na myśl np Gustav Holst i jego suita "The Planets". Są momenty w tej suicie które przywodzą mi na myśl kino "nowej przygody" w stylu Indiany Jonesa czy Skarbu Narodów. Nie zdziwiłbym się gdyby John Williams się troszkę sugerował jego kompozycjami. Angielski kompozytor podjął się zilustowania planet w naszym Układzie Słonecznym. Zestawienie zaczyna wbrew rzeczywistej kolejności Mars. Bardzo głośny, gwałtowny, agresywny. Rozrywająca czas i przestrzeń blacha przywodzi na myśl obraz czerwonej planety, która przez swoją rdzawo-czerwoną barwę dostała imię po Bogu Wojny. Oczywiście Holst nie miał prawa wiedzieć w 1916 roku że powierzchnia Marsa nie jest rozgrzana do czerwoności a kaniony nie są wypełnione krwią. W rzeczywistości Mars jest planetą chłodną. Ale czy to nam przeszkadza?
