We recently took a significant step in guiding our Grade 10, 11, and 12 students toward informed career choices by hosting an exclusive orientation session with SHL Schweizerische Hotelfachschule Luzern. Established in 1909 as one of Switzerland’s two original hotel management schools, SHL brought a legacy of excellence to our campus. The session highlighted how students can navigate the competitive global landscape through SHL’s internationally recognised Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management, a rigorous program offered in collaboration with the University of Applied Sciences Lucerne (HSLU). The session was facilitated by Mr. Santhosh K. Mrinalini, Founder & Managing Director of LE Sash Hospitality Services and Admissions Officer for SHL Luzern. With over 20 years of experience across Switzerland, India, and Southeast Asia, Mr. Santhosh captivated our learners with real-world insights from Swiss fine dining and global brands like Taj Hotels, ITC, Marriott, and EHL Lausanne. LuMAA is a six week long training in Computer Animation with lecturers from @dreamworks, @pixar, @ilmvfx and @weta_digital at the Hochschule Luzern (@hslu_luzern). 💡 The students got the chance to learn more about Character Walk, Close up Acting and Lipsync, Creature and Human Acting. Die Designausbildung an der Hochschule Luzern wird auf Nachhaltigkeit gepolt 🌱 Umso mehr freuen wir uns, dass der Studiengang Objektdesign (@hslu_objektdesign) an der BLICKFANG Zürich wegweisende, nachhaltige Entwürfe auf einer Sonderfläche zeigt. Raumflexibilität mit Nils Rolli’s (@studioblauwe) filigranen Paravents: Anpassbare Elemente aus Schweizer Esche ermöglichen eine mühelose Raumteilung – die halbtransparente Textilflächen erzeugen eine einladende Atmosphäre. Eine smarte Lösung für moderne Wohn- und Arbeitswelten. Jeanne Blatter hat sich für ihr Projekt auf nachhaltige Materialien konzentriert und entwarf ein zirkuläres Sofa aus Schafwollflocken und Arvenspänen. Hier entsteht nicht nur ein ästhetisches Möbelstück, sondern auch ein Statement für umweltbewusstes Design. Ebenso beeindruckend ist die Arbeit von Silvana Emmenegger (@studio.margaritha), die Abfalldeponiematerial in einen kompakten Hocker verwandelt hat. Das Ergebnis erinnert an Bodenproben und zeigt eindrucksvoll, wie aus scheinbar unbrauchbarem Material innovative Designobjekte entstehen können.
