++ iPhone Footage, Graded In CapCut š±šØ ++
Your iPhone already shoots great footage. Most people just never finish it.
A few adjustments to contrast, tones and highlights, and the whole mood changes.

Day 45/60. If you film with an iPhone, hereās how you can take your footage from this... to this... in just a few steps.
Hi, my name is 90s from the south, and this is Day 44 of becoming the creator I know I can be.
A lot of creators think you need an expensive professional camera before you can get beautiful colours.
But if you own an iPhone, you can actually get some really impressive results.
And Iām going to show you exactly how I do it.
First, you need to give yourself the right footage to work with.
I shoot in Log using the Blackmagic Camera app.
The app gives you much more manual control over your iPhoneās camera, and shooting in Log gives you more flexibility when you get into colour grading.
Once Iāve shot my footage, I bring it into DaVinci Resolve...
because obviously, this is where the magic happens. š
First I come over to the Colour page, add two new nodes and add a Colour space transform to each of the node
For the first node: I set the input colour space to rec 2020
Input gamma to apple log
Output Colour space to Davinci wide gamut
Output gamma to Davinci intermediate. Then for the other node: I set the
Input colour space : Davinci wide gamut
Input gamma to Davinci intermediate
Output Colour space to rec709
And output gamma to Rex 709A because Iām using a mac, set yours to Gamma 2.4 if youāre on a windows. Next I adjust my exposure using hdr wheel. Then I proceed to add contrast by making an S-curve. Finally I build my look using the HDR wheel to introduce colours so I can achieve the tone I want. And this is the final result.
And thatās really all you need to get started.
You donāt necessarily need to buy a new camera just to start making beautiful images.
Sometimes, you just need to learn how to get the most out of the camera you already have.
And if you want my exact Blackmagic Camera app settings that I use to shoot my iPhone footage, comment āSETTINGSā and Iāll send them over to you.
And donāt forget to save this video so you can come back to it when youāre ready to grade your footage.

Your iPhone is a Cinema Camera. If you treat it like one š¬
Stop using Auto-Mode. If you want a film look, you have to do the work. Lighting, set design, and grading arenāt optional.
Here are some tips to level up your iPhone footage:
- App: Use Blackmagic Camera (itās free).
- Format: Shoot in Log (I use Apple Log 2).
- Lighting: Build your scene. Donāt just Ā«filmĀ» it.
- Contrast: Embrace the shadows.
- Set design: Use set design to tell the story.
- Color: Grade it with the same love youād give a Sony camera.
Drop a comment if this helped you out! āØ
