// Meanwhile, this was us exactly a month ago, having lots of fun singing in Totnes - The pure joy of circle singing! 🎵 These are short fragments from a very successful weekend retreat, where we combined improv games, holistic vocal work, circle singing, movement, sharing and sound meditations. These classes provide a safe space for young artists to exercise their imaginations and express themselves creatively. Participants will engage in The Actors’ Gang signature style of theater and explore Commedia dell’Arte characters. In addition to developing confidence through fun theater & improv games in each class, participants create, rehearse, and perform an original theater piece alongside our teaching artists. "The time, location, price and spirit of the program can’t be beat. The organizers keep the kids to a high standard, but have reasonable expectations about those who come with fear or make mistakes, creating an environment in which all kids are encouraged, seen and appreciated." - Parent of 3 students who participated in our classes. In my communication workshops, I take my students through many different forms of improv games to help the understand the importance of stepping into the unknown. And that's really what life is right? And the more comfortable you are with dealing with the unknown, the more confident you become. Through going to hundreds of improv classes, I learnt how to deal with situations where I didn't have complete control and that gave me a sense of peace. Would you try an improv class??
