💻 THE 3 REASONS WHY MOST EFFORTS TO SHOP LESS FAIL (& HOW TO GET CONTROL)
If you’ve been:
💳 Overspending on clothes for months or years
❤️🩹 Feeling guilty/anxious about how much you shop
🔄 Sabotaging short-term progress with another haul
🛍️ Trying so hard to cut back but nothing sticks
Then this workshop is for YOU.
See you there xox
If your closet is full but you still feel like you have “nothing to wear,” this page is for you.
Fashion trends aren’t the problem.
Influencers aren’t the problem.
The real issue? Buying without a filter.
When you don’t know your best colors or your personal style guidelines, everything looks tempting. But when you do know your own dressing formula, shopping becomes intentional instead of emotional.
This isn’t about owning more.
It’s about owning what works in your best colors and style.
If you’re ready to stop wasting money on pieces that end up collecting dust and end up being donated and start building a wardrobe that actually reflects who you are, comment “Guide” below and I’ll send you the next step.
Confidence doesn’t come from keeping up.
It comes from knowing yourself.
how to stop wasting money on clothes
6 rules that actually work
you’ll wear everything you buy after this
save this for later
Before you spend money on clothes this year, read this.
Not every trend is a good investment — even if it looks great on the hanger or on someone else.
Some pieces are:
• hard to style in real life
• difficult to repeat across outfits
• or only work for one very specific moment
That’s how wardrobes get full… but still feel unusable.
Shopping smarter isn’t about rules.
It’s about choosing pieces that:
✔️ work with your body
✔️ mix easily with what you already own
✔️ still feel relevant beyond one season
If you’ve ever bought something and then wondered “why does this feel off?” — this is for you.
Save this before your next shopping trip.

I’m sharing this because it opens up an important conversation around shopping, influence, and intention.
I want to be clear from the start, I genuinely love @amelialiana content and her style. She’s incredibly dedicated to her craft and consistently shows up in a way that’s inspiring in this space. This video isn’t meant to mock, criticize, or shine a negative light on anyone at all.
What stood out to me is how familiar this feels. When we constantly see “things I want,” “things I bought,” and “things I couldn’t resist,” it slowly reshapes how we view shopping, trends, and even our own closets. Over time, it can make us feel like we’re always missing something, like our wardrobe needs more, when in reality it often doesn’t. Overconsumption rarely comes from a place of need, it comes from comparison and constant exposure.
It’s also why I believe shopping your closet first and building around strong staples matters more than chasing every new trend. If you do decide to buy something new, it should feel fully aligned with who you are and how you live, not a copy-and-paste version of someone else’s style or lifestyle.
My intention with this video is simply to encourage smarter, more conscious purchases so we don’t end up with regret, clutter, or a closet that no longer feels like us. Style should feel personal and empowering, not pressured or impulsive.
If this made you reflect on how social media influences the way you shop, save this or share it with someone who might need the reminder.

Comment ShopMy for my forever wardrobe and what I actually splurge on 🛍️
Impulse buying feels like no big deal in the moment.
But stopping it changes everything.
When you don’t hand over $60 here, $300 there, you’re not just “saving money.” You’re reclaiming decision-making power. You’re choosing long-term stability over short-term dopamine.
More $$$ in your account.
More breathing room.
More self-respect.
The real flex isn’t a new outfit.
It’s knowing you don’t get pulled around by every craving, collection, or discount code.
I help fashion lovers break the impulse cycle and build shopping habits that protect their money without sacrificing their style.
Follow for grounded reminders that make your future more exciting than your next purchase 🫶🏻
Shopping tips for the girlie who hates shopping, from a girl who’s work is to shop smart for people. So take notes ! 🛍️🤍
1- The moment: morning, on Tuesday or Thursday
2- Create a shopping list beforehand. Practical & super precise.
3- Intuition + Intention. Both are necessary to create a wardrobe that works.
4- Don’t start with Zara or H&M to avoid visual fatigue !
5- Create an experience. You deserve it. 🤍

The pain points that kept me stuck, and what actually shifted
1. I HAD A FULL CLOSET AND STILL FELT LOST GETTING DRESSED.
I kept buying because nothing felt right. What changed was editing, not adding. Space brought clarity.
2. SHOPPING BECAME MY GO-TO WHEN I FELT BORED, BEHIND, OR OVERWHELMED.
It felt like control in the moment. Pausing helped me realize most urges weren’t about clothes.
3. TRENDS MADE ME QUESTION PIECES I ONCE LOVED.
I started doubting myself instead of the noise. Letting trends guide, not dictate, gave me my confidence back.
4. I WAS BUYING FOR A LIFE I WASN’T ACTUALLY LIVING.
Special moments, imaginary plans, “someday” outfits. Dressing for my real life changed everything.
5. I THOUGHT BUYING LESS WOULD FEEL RESTRICTIVE.
It felt grounding. Treating shopping like a checklist instead of an outlet finally broke the cycle.
The shift wasn’t about stopping shopping.
It was about stopping the cycle that made shopping feel necessary.
Style didn’t change when I bought more.
It changed when I understood that more didn’t mean better.
Send the stuff I really needed to hear this ♥️

I used to believe I just needed one more jacket, another dress, the perfect shoes to finally feel “put together.”
But here’s what actually happened when I stopped shopping for 90 days:
At first, it was rough. I missed the rush of a new package on my doorstep.
Then I had to face my real closet… the one I spent thousands on but barely wore.
But once I pushed through, something shifted: my wardrobe stopped feeling boring.
It started to feel like a treasure chest. ✨
I saw outfits I’d never noticed before.
I rediscovered pieces I used to love.
I realized the issue wasn’t my clothes… it was how I was seeing them.
Lesson #1: Shopping rarely fixes your wardrobe. It usually makes it feel worse.
Lesson #2: When you stop chasing “new,” you finally see what you genuinely love.
Lesson #3: Confidence doesn’t come from buying, it comes from trusting yourself.
That 90-day pause didn’t just change my closet… it changed me.
If you’re buying MORE but still aren’t satisfied with what you own…
It’s because you don’t understand the real mechanics behind your shopping habit.
And once you do? Everything changes.
I’m teaching the 3 reasons most efforts to shop less fail (and what actually works) in my free class next week.

I never buy something the first time I see it (besides the thrift), and a lot of times I end up not even liking the item a few days later! It’s just the dopamine spike of wanting something new. Try this and see if it curbs your shopping
