“The mountains are calling”. A lot of love and many hours went into producing this series. I’m very proud of these ones. The secret to reduction printing is to STICK YOUR LINO TO YOUR REGISTRATION PLATE. Then it doesn’t move around 🤷‍♀️ And then you can get a perfect registration 🤷‍♀️ I will be pricing reduction prints like these higher in future. They are a bit generously listed for now, but I am selling them at the lower end as I continue to perfect my approach to reduction. Even if I think they are pretty perfect myself 😂 These will be shipped on 16th February, as they will need some time to dry in this colder weather. #handprinted #linocut #linoprint #printspotters #grafiek #inkprint #linoleum #peopleofprint #reductionprint #linoprints #art_we_inspire #printmaker #printstagram #reliefprintmaking #justprintmaking #reliefprinting #stampcarving #linocutprint #printspiration #printmakersofinstagram #printedbyhand #printmakingart #reliefprint #printlife #blockprint #blockprinting #mountainlover #mountainart #processart #processvideo

Walking Monster in Plaid. Second printing now available on my Etsy link in bio! - I make the plaid pattern by using a thin brayer and a slightly darker ink. Each line in the plaid is laid down by hand in the formation of a little grid. This print is a 3 layered print. - - #xilografia #xilogravura #printmaking #woodprint #grabado #mokuhanga #blockprint #woodblock #woodcutprint #woodengraving #artprocess #linocutprint #linoleumprint #woodenstamp #printedart #woodcut #inkprint #imprinted

This is a tip for printmakers, for storing left over ink, after you print. I hate wasting ink. 🤨 I scrap off as much ink as I can from my plate and put it in tin or aluminum foil. Fold it up and seal it in packing tape, bring sure to seal it completely. I like to label my ink packages with the color and date. Then I store it in a jar with a tight lid. I have reused ink that has been stored like this a year later and the ink was as good as new. 😊 As I said above, I hate wasting ink. 😊 Hope this is a helpful tip for you. 😻 . . . . . . . #print_inspiration #linocutprints #linoprintmaking #linoprintersofinstagram #printmakerspost #linocutprintmaking #reliefprintmaking #linocutlovers #handprinting #inkprintrepeat #linocutprinting #reliefprinting #printmakersofinstagram #inkprint #blockprintlove #linoleumblockprinting #reliefprint #printpower #linoprinting #linogravure #printmakingprocess #linocutprintingprocess #printmakerstip
