Rwanda is building one of Africa’s most ambitious digital infrastructure ecosystems. According to Yves Iradukunda, Minister of State at the Ministry of ICT and Innovation, the country is investing heavily in connectivity, education, and digital inclusion. Key initiatives include: • Over 95% national 4G coverage • Expansion of Rwanda’s fiber optic network • Smart classrooms connected to the internet nationwide • Programs to make smart devices affordable • Youth innovation hubs across rural communities The goal: ensure every citizen including women, young girls, and people with disabilities can participate in the digital economy. Why it matters: Digital infrastructure is becoming the backbone of modern economies.
