Instagram cambia direzione?

@instagram wants your “perfect feed” era to end. @meta is testing Instants, a new standalone app for disappearing, no-edit photos that vanish after one view within 24 hours. No filters. No camera roll uploads. No polished aesthetics. Just real-time photos shared instantly with friends. The goal? Bring back casual, low-pressure sharing and compete with platforms like @bereal, @snapchat, and Locket. Currently being tested in Spain and Italy, Instants could be Instagram’s boldest move yet to make social media feel less curated and more real. But with Stories already dominating, can users really move back to raw, unfiltered sharing? Would you use Instants? Drop your thoughts in the comments. #BREAKING — INSTAGRAM GOES UNFILTERED WITH DISAPPEARING PHOTO FEATURE Instagram is testing a brand-new app called "Instants" that lets users share photos which can only be viewed once and disappear within 24 hours. No filters, no edits — just real, in-the-moment snapshots. Photos are captured with a single tap using the in-app camera. There is no option to upload from a camera roll, and apart from adding text, no editing is allowed. An Instagram spokesperson confirmed the feature, saying: the company is testing the app to give people "low-pressure ways to connect with friends" and share casual photos in the moment. The app can be accessed either as a standalone application or as a feature inside the main Instagram app. Users can share content with mutual followers or their Close Friends list. Currently, Instants is available in select regions including Spain and Italy as part of an early testing phase. A wider global rollout has not been announced yet.
