We flew into Bangkok for the Southeast Asia debut of the Ferrari 849 Testarossa at @ICONSIAM last week.
The name Testarossa, meaning “redhead” in Italian, dates back to 1956, but it was the 1984 model that became a pop-culture legend thanks to Miami Vice.
Forty years on, the redhead is reborn. The twin-turbo V8 makes 818 hp alone, rising to an insane 1,035 hp with three electric motors – Ferrari’s most powerful production powertrain yet. 0–100 km/h? Under 2.3 seconds – that’s quick as an F1 car.
Design-wise, it blends the sharp geometry of 1970s @Ferrari prototypes with the wide stance and side strakes of the original Testarossa. Inside, tactile buttons return, including the iconic red start button.
In Singapore, the 849 Testarossa coupe starts from S$2,098,251 while the Spider starts from S$2,281,858. Both figures are before COE and options, and deliveries are expected to begin in Q3 2026.
