Life feels a little more whimsical when you slow down and really see it.
Afternoons at Sunshine Playground, a salty breeze from the beach drifting through the air, sandy shoes kicked off by the car, and kids laughing like they don’t have a care in the world. These are the simple Jacksonville moments that make motherhood feel magical.✨🌅
Spots like this are why so many families fall in love with living here, it’s not just about the house, it’s about the everyday rhythm of your life.
If you’re new to the area (or thinking about making the move), I created a Jacksonville Local Guide that gives you a clear breakdown of:
-Best neighborhoods
-Beach areas
-Historic districts
-Lifestyle and things to do
-Commute times
-Schools
-Food, coffee, and local favorites
Because where you live shapes your everyday life.

I had the opportunity to visit @theblockjax for a private event with @jacksonvillemom and let me just say… Jacksonville is stepping its game ALL the way up 👏🏾
This spot is a whole vibe. Think open-air, super family friendly, and designed for everyone to have a good time. There’s plenty of space for kids to run around (a win for parents everywhere), food and drink options to keep things interesting, and the kind of laid-back energy that makes you want to stay longer than you planned. It’s giving community, it’s giving fun, it’s giving “why didn’t we have this sooner?!”
Located off of Gate Parkway just past Ikea, it’s one of those places you can pull up for a casual hang, meet friends, or turn a random afternoon into a whole outing without trying too hard.
And I LOVE seeing more spaces like this pop up… places where families can exist, relax, and actually enjoy themselves without feeling like an afterthought 🙌🏾
Now listen… this is just the beginning.
Stay tuned because I’ve got something special coming soon and you’re going to want to be part of it!

ICYMI: Our co-founder & CEO talked navigating working parenthood alongside the amazing @mom_coach_deborah last week! 😮
💫Our key takeaways:
🌟Deborah shared how as our children get older, it's about moving from the Drivers Seat to the Passenger Seat.
🌟You want to be the one asking more questions than giving instruction.
🌟We cannot tell our children what to think, but we can teach them how to think critically.
🌟Michelle shared that when are children are younger, recognize you're navigating both external AND internal shifts - it's a lot, so give yourself some grace.
🌟External: navigating leave, whether your workplace is supportive, childcare, finances, etc.
🌟Internal: identity shifts, learning to set boundaries, and how to ask for help.
✨Thank you @fox5dc @mikeaontv for this fantastic opportunity!
If you’re in the thick of early motherhood, this reminder might be exactly what you need today.
In this episode of Houston Moms on the Move, @bcslocum shares advice her mother-in-law once gave her: Every season of motherhood gets better.
You can miss the newborn stage and still look forward to the next milestone. You can feel nostalgic for the little years and still be excited to see who your kids are becoming. Sometimes motherhood is simply learning to hold both at the same time.
