More than a gift — a cassette tape memory you can press play on, over and over again. 📼🤍
“Remember when music wasn’t just played… it was felt?
When pressing play meant escaping into your own world.
We brought that feeling back.
A cassette from the past… with the sound of today.
Press play and let the memories rewind.”

TYPE-II TAPE HAS RETURNED!
We've added high-bias chrome tape back to the cassette duplication calculator! You can combine our type-ii high-bias chrome tape with any cassette, though we recommend our chrome notch shells for the clearest and crispiest audio. Here we are testing the chrome duplication station using @soundbecamecolor's upcoming cassette!
Keep in mind that this is LIMITED STOCK, as in nobody in the world is making new chrome tape. When it's gone, it's gone! 👋
We all have that one person that comes to mind every time we hear this song, and it’s usually someone from the past, someone from the cassette era……back when love was real😥😭😭😭💔
Am I the only one or is there someone else who can relate?
Have you seen a resurgence of cassette tapes? Why do you think that is? 🧐

4 ways to record to cassettes
We never called it “burning cassettes” back in the day but I actually kind of like it.
Also YES, it’s legal to record your own cassettes for personal use with music you physically own (thanks to the Betamax case in 1984)
This video shows 4 methods to “record” cassettes:
1. Use a headphone jack — newer cassette decks will have an AUX / Line-In option which makes it very easy.
2. Older cassette decks like mine will often have dual mic inputs. This is a very sensitive input, so you’ll need to turn your source volume way down.
3. Recording driect to tape with a microphone. This is one of the truly fun things about cassettes. It makes it very easy to do some fun custom stuff like this.
4. Using an FM transmitter. Depending on how much radio interference you have in your neighborhood, this option might not be a great fit.
Where to get cassettes?
You can grab old cassettes from a thrift store, or buy new ones online. Some people will say “Don’t record over an old cassette” because of the quality drop, but I like the lofi quality of tapes to begin with. A little bit of warbling and audio bleed-through is kind of fun.
If you want higher-quality blanks, look for vintage Type II tapes like TDK SA / SA-X or Sony UX-Pro. These were premium “chrome” tapes back in the day and are still some of the best options if you can find new old stock. For modern production, brands like Recording The Masters (RTM) Fox Type I and ATR Pro Chrome are solid and widely used today. That said, most of us grew up using basic tapes like Maxell UR — and honestly, they still get the job done. Thank @havikenhayes for these tips.
Cassettes come in C-60 (30 minutes per side) and C-90 (45 minutes per side). The shorter tapes actually are ideally HIGHER quality.
My website has a little calculator so you can see if you’re going over on each side.

Cassettes have got their own charm 😍
There’s something different about music when it comes from a cassette…
It’s not just sound — it’s memory.
It’s the soft click when you press play.
The gentle whirr of the tape spinning like time itself rewinding.
That imperfect, warm sound that feels more real than anything digital ever could.
Every song feels like it belongs to a moment…
Late nights. Long drives. First love. Lost love.
The kind of memories you don’t just remember — you feel all over again.
In a world that moves too fast,
cassette music slows everything down…
and reminds you of who you were,
what you felt,
and the beauty of moments that never truly left you.
Because some music isn’t just heard —
it’s lived. 🎶
