Tomorrow is super special for me because it will be my debut performance at @roosterwalk festival! I’ve always wanted to play it and this year the stars aligned. I sat down and took a quick demo of one of my favorite @jjcaleofficial cuts. “Magnolia”, from the album “Naturally” (1971). I even put on my JJ Cale sunnies for this’n. Every time I have Mark Nelson aka Pan-American on the Across the Horizon podcast he brings on music from artists who I’ve listened to my whole life. But by the time the show is over, he’s made me realize that there were things about these artists that I might have been missing. JJ Cale is one of those artists.
