Fluid has been my life’s work for nearly two decades, but it’s time for me to evolve into a new hair direction. This salon has been so much more than four walls. It’s been a home, a community, a place where confidence and creativity flourished. To every client who has trusted us, and to my incredible team who’ve brought so much talent and dedication — thank you for making Fluid unforgettable. Our last day of trade in this space will be 24th October 2025. HAPPY NEW MONTH!!!!!! POV: Come with me as I meet my MUM'S Family for the very FIRST TIME in Mauritius; My GrandMa, Uncle, First Cousins, Sister in Law, Nephew and Niece. "Your GrandMother is Loving and Giving. Protective and Stern. Kind and Gentle. She is one of my life's greatest Fortunes", my mother (Anita) would say to me. From what I understood, DOLLY ATWAROO is a known Entity, a Truth, an axiom of the Universe. As the day of this meeting approached, I was a bundle of nerves. Excited, slightly worrisome. "What if they didn't show up?", I thought. But @anishtarampersadsingh (my Sister in Law) had assured me that she'll embark on the 2 hour journey to the Resort i was staying at, and bring everyone. This Outing was emotional and therapeutic for me. My GrandMa didn't stop crying as she had NEVER set her eyes on me; If you're lucky, and I have been so very lucky, GRANDMA aka NANI is the ever-presence, the foundational and existential ubiquity of BEING. 89 and kicking strong! I felt BLESSED in her presence. Special thanks to @chudeity (the Birthday Boy), @mfonekpo1 @o_makanjuola @zanyfran @shotbybolade and @walenut who came out to receive them as well. The next day, my first cousin NUVIN (Ashvin's brother) came from work to say HI. Truly truly, Family is the best Gift anyone can ask for. A HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to my GrandMa, my Mum (Anita Edun) and Anishta; Powerful independently beautiful Mothers. MAURITIUS, your Son is finally HOME!
