“I’m writing my first book…” The words came out quieter than I expected, holding a sort of sacred purpose for what was to come… I’ve made this same statement countless times to friends, family, and even strangers who stare at me with curiosity as I passionately type on my MacBook in local coffee shops. Over the past 18 months, I’ve woken up before the sun (and my three kids) countless times to capture the message that I’ve been called to write. The one that I’ve been training, coaching, speaking, researching, and praying about for over a decade… And now it’s down on paper!! I just sent off a complete book proposal to my literary agent @cynthiaruchtiauthor at @books.and.such.literary and am excited to see what the future holds for these words of mine! I’m tagging the friends and fellow writers that have championed, coached, and cheered me on along the way!! Writers this tip is for you! ✍️ When you’re getting that first draft down I think it’s so important to just write. It’s so easy to stress about a certain chapter but push ahead because the more you write the more you get to know your characters and the plot! Writers—have you found this to be true??
