🚨 @audemarspiguet just dropped a 43mm Royal Oak Concept Tourbillon “COMPANION” in collaboration with @kaws, and we tried it on. This limited edition of 250 pieces is made entirely in titanium and features KAWS’ signature COMPANION character front and center. First introduced by artist Brian Donnelly (aka KAWS) in 1999, the COMPANION character is now reimagined as a 3D figure in this watch. AP have also designed a new hand-wound movement, Calibre 2979, with a unique peripheral time display that keeps the focus on the COMPANION. The figure is crafted in light and dark gray, just like the original, and the screws on the bezel and caseback feature KAWS’ iconic X’s. Paying homage to his dissected series, the COMPANION’s chest reveals the tourbillon—the “beating heart” of the watch.
