Styling my Tiger Beret 🐅 Since my post about Instagram, I’ve decided to be a bit more transparent because I really don’t like the whole superficial act of pretending to be perfect on social media. So, today’s little secret—do you want to know why I’m always smiling in my reels? Well, there are a few reasons. First, I’m actually pretty funny in real life 🤡. Second, I hate the wrinkles around my mouth; they make my face look lopsided, and when I don’t smile, I look mean (and, honestly, not great). I’m obsessed! I was on a cruise to the Puget Sound a couple months ago and found a knitting store with the Musselburgh Hat pattern. It can be knit with any yarn, any needle, any size. The directions are clear and detailed. The hat starts off with just a few stitches at the crown, then gradually grows with increases worked in the round until it reaches the perfect size. After that, you simply knit the body straight to your desired length, then finish with some smooth decreases to shape the second crown, making it reversible! Did I say I am obsessed with this hat? It’s mostly stockinette so I can knit it everywhere. It’s just one skein so a small bag with supplies is all I need to carry. It’s a fit hat, a brim hat or a slouchy hat, depending on how it’s folded.
