🚁 From whiteouts to trailouts, H-20 always shows up. ❄️➡️☀️ During winter, we’re busy assisting with snow-related emergencies, but when the snow melts, the rescues don’t stop. With the warmer weather, CHP H-20 continues to assist our Allied Agencies on rescue missions all across the Sierra. Whether it’s a lost hiker, injured biker, or backcountry mishap we’re here when things go sideways. But out here, “Expect to Self Rescue” isn’t just a phrase.. it’s reality. Know your route, bring the right gear, and have a backup plan. Tell someone where you’re going and when you’ll be back. And please, don’t treat cell signal like a survival strategy. Are you travelling to Canada by boat with fewer than 30 passengers? Upon arrival, you must report to the CBSA. Boaters can dock at one of 375 CBSA Telephone Reporting Sites, including at many marinas, waterfront piers and yacht clubs. Report in by calling the number posted on site. Or, boaters can dock at one of our seven Direct Reporting Sites and report to a CBSA officer in person. Either way, to enter Canada, the boat operator will need to provide: ✔️The reason for the trip ✔️Passenger information ✔️A full declaration of goods Remember! Only the boat operator can report to the CBSA. All other passengers must remain onboard the vessel until granted entry by a CBSA officer. Failing to report is a minimum fine of $1,000. You could also risk criminal charges and the possibility of being denied entry into Canada on future trips.
