So easy, right?! Loving these little DIY battery-powered lamps!
Comment Lamp Hack and I’ll send you the link to these puck lights and this tortoise vase. 💌✨
My old unlacquered brass shades are from Rejuvenation, but I come across small metal shades while thrifting all the time. And fabric could also work since the puck lights don’t get hot.
Love that these are tap lights, so they’re easy to turn on and off!

The bedroom in winter ❄️
It’s the room with a calming view in every season. But at this time of year it’s at its best with the curtains closed and lit by lamplight.
We had our first dusting of snow this morning which was a nice surprise. Have you had any snow this year?

“The Office” is a secret dining area in Lamplight Lounge at Disney California Adventure park.
You cannot reserve this room, you are selected at random. However, I have gotten it both times we’ve dined at Lamplight Lounge, so here’s how to increase your chances:
💡Always, ALWAYS book your reservation in advance. Disneyland Resort dining reservations open up 60 days in advance, 6:00 am pst.
💡Choose an off peak time to dine for less competition, 2pm-4pm is a good block to shoot for.
💡This room is typically reserved for larger parties, so if you’re traveling with a group, it’s a good time to try to snag it.
💡Groups with a celebration are more likely to land it; both times we were celebrating big birthdays, 16th and 40th.
💡Sound stressful? Book your Disney vacation with me for insider info, less stress and more magic! All this and ZERO extra cost to you.

In the hush of the table’s white glow,
I lay a sheet of green so deep it drinks the lamplight whole. Scissors open like silver wings. One slow breath, then the blade
kisses the paper’s skin. A clean incision no blood, only the soft sigh of fibers parting.
The diamond lifts free: four sharp facets of amethyst light, edges bright as secrets.
I hold it to the bulb. It burns, a small purple star cut from the night’s own cloth.
