The original Spa track was about 14 km long and ran on public roads through villages like Stavelot and Malmedy. 3. Because the circuit sits in the Ardennes forest, it’s common for one part of the track to be wet while another is completely dry. 4. At 7.004 km, Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps is the longest track on the modern Formula One calendar. 5. The Kemmel Straight isn’t actually straight—it slightly bends uphill, making braking into Les Combes harder than it looks. 6. Cars spend over 70–75% of the lap at full throttle at Spa, making it one of the toughest tracks on engines and aerodynamics. 7. The circuit has over 100 meters of elevation change, giving it one of the biggest vertical differences in Formula One. 8.
