Struggling to sleep at night?
Try this calming nighttime ritual. Lavender tea is known to support relaxation and help your mind unwind before bed. Watching the buds steep is soothing, but the real comfort comes with the first sip.

Some nights, your mind just won’t quit. Racing thoughts, tension, or stress can keep you awake… but nature has a gentle way to help you unwind.
Dreamy Night Tea combines 7 calming herbs that work together to help your body and mind relax naturally. You can get it with or without lavender at wildgraceherbs.com- link is in my bio
Lavender – Calms your mind and eases tension
Chamomile – Gentle relaxer for deeper, restorative sleep
Lemon Balm – Soothes anxious thoughts and mental chatter
Linden Flower – Supports restful, stress-free nights
Skullcap – Helps relax the nervous system
Passionflower – Promotes peaceful sleep and eases night-time wake-ups
Catnip – A gentle herb that encourages relaxation
HOW TO BREW YOUR PERFECT NIGHTCAP:
1. Use 1–2 tbsp of the herb blend per cup
2. Pour hot water (not boiling) over the herbs
3. Steep 5–10 minutes
4. Optional: add honey for sweetness
5. Sip slowly, ideally 30–60 minutes before bed
Tip: Make this part of a nightly ritual — dim lights, silence screens, and breathe. Your body will start associating this cup with calm.
There are sooooo many reasons as to why it can be hard to quiet your mind. Sometimes it’s stress, sometimes it’s blood sugar dropping overnight, sometimes it’s hormone fluctuations, and sometimes it’s simply being overstimulated all day and your nervous system not getting the signal that it’s time to slow down.
But herbs can be extremely supportive.
One of my favorites for nighttime support is valerian root. Valerian works with the nervous system and helps encourage the body to shift into a more relaxed, parasympathetic state, making it easier to fall asleep.
You’ll usually see valerian in tea bags at the grocery store, which is great for convenience. But when you open the bag you’ll notice it’s often a very finely cut version of the herb. Both can be helpful, but the whole herb is usually more potent and easier to blend into your own custom teas.
My favorite sleepy time combo right now is equal parts lavender, peppermint, and valerian root. Lavender helps calm the nervous system, peppermint keeps the blend balanced, and valerian does the heavy lifting and knocks me outtttt.
Everyone’s body is different, so play around with the ratios and see what works best for you. 🌿

Stronger than chamomile.
Better than melatonin.
This is what herbalists actually drink for sleep.
Our insomnia blend is built with real nervines that calm the nervous system, not just knock you out:
• Oat Straw → deeply nourishing to the nervous system, helps rebuild when you’re burnt out + wired
• Chamomile → gentle but effective, eases tension and quiets the mind
• Lavender → relaxes the body and softens anxiety so sleep comes naturally
• Skullcap → one of the strongest nervines for racing thoughts + physical tension
• Passionflower → slows an overactive mind and supports deeper, more restorative sleep
This isn’t about forcing sleep…
it’s about teaching your body how to relax again.
If your brain won’t shut off at night, this one’s for you.

🔥 They struggle because their nervous system is still switched on.
You can feel exhausted all day, but if your body is still in “go mode”, sleep becomes light, restless, or hard to fall into.
And one of the biggest mistakes I see?
Going from stimulation straight to bed.
Scrolling, bright lights, emails, mental to-do lists… your brain never receives the signal that the day is complete.
Your nervous system needs a wind-down ritual - simple cues that tell your body it’s safe to relax.
One of the easiest ways to do that is with herbal support. Certain herbs have been traditionally used for centuries to calm the body and prepare it for rest.
Some of my favourites include:
🌿 Chamomile – known for its gentle calming effects and digestive support
🌿 Lemon balm – helps reduce nervous tension and promotes relaxation
🌿 Blue lotus – traditionally used to encourage a sense of calm and dreamy relaxation
🌿 Mugwort – often associated with deeper sleep and vivid dreaming
🌿 Vanillibos – naturally caffeine-free and comforting for evening rituals
I love when blends bring these herbs easily together, like the beautiful evening tea I’m loving here from @night_nectar (if you'd love to try it too use my code BECKY15 for your welcome discount)
If sleep has been feeling harder lately (especially during stress or perimenopause), try these simple evening resets:
✨ Stop scrolling earlier
Even 20–30 minutes without screens can help your brain start producing melatonin.
✨ Calm the body
Try slow breathing or PMR to release physical tension from the day.
✨ Create a herbal wind-down ritual
A warm cup of calming tea signals to your nervous system that it’s time to shift from doing → resting.
Sometimes the smallest rituals become the most powerful signals for the body.
Your nervous system doesn’t just need sleep…
It needs permission to soften first.

Do you struggle more with falling asleep or waking during the night? 🌙
Difficulty with sleep? Lavender is the most researched essential oil for sleep. In clinical trials, inhaling lavender before bed has been shown to improve sleep quality and reduce nighttime waking compared with control groups. Diffusing essential oils works quickly because the scent signals travel directly to the limbic system in the brain. Topical application tends to last longer, because the aroma continues to be released from the skin throughout the night. Using both together can provide the most consistent support for sleep. #selfcare @babydish_ @staymelifestyle
