Ever wondered how those raised ridges are made on leather armor? It’s called fluting. We’ve used it on multiple builds. We even created our own fluting wheel to make the process easier. The STL files are available in the Academy. Comment "Wheel" and we will DM you the link to the STL files.

I made armor! Out of leather! I don't do a lot of armor, but there is one image of Guilietta by Sakizo that had her in a gauntlet. I've never made one of these before, but I've always wanted to work with leather armor, so it seemed like a good time to try! I patterned with duct tape and edited in Illustrator. I used my @cricut to cut everything and engrave the design before tooling by hand (I'm terrible with symmetry, lol). I punched a bunch of holes and used metallic Tiger thread for the decorative stitching. Leather tools are from @tandyleather Thank you to @jennifermaydesigns who taught me the basics of leather work and tooling at DragonCon a couple of years ago. I finally finished my first leather piece! I do think I want to remake it and do a different paint job, but we will see how much time I have. The brown tabbed Tudor stays are my attempt at making a piece that looks like leather armor with fabric! I originally designed these for more of a masc look, but they actually look so cute styled femme as well?! Paired with this brown skirt and the cream milkmaid dress (which is back btw!!) I feel like a little hobbit girl.
