You’re making this way harder than it needs to be! Lesson planning shouldn’t take up all of your free time. Batch plan on Fridays while it’s still fresh in your mind. Steal great lessons and tweak them to make them your own. Plan one simple lesson per week. Your batch plan should have an objective, entry, instruction, practice and exit for every day of the week. Work smarter, not harder! #newteacher #teachertraining #lessonplanning

The first core classroom system? Lesson planning. ✏️ Planning feels a whole lot lighter when you’re not reinventing the wheel every week. A strong lesson planning system includes:
✔️ Weekly plans that are easy to update and reuse
✔️ Small group plans so differentiation is clear and intentional
✔️ Sub plans that are already prepped before you need them When these pieces are in place, you spend less time scrambling and more time teaching. Comment PLANNING and I’ll send you the resources I use to make lesson planning simpler. 💛 #teacherorganization #teacherlife #elementaryteacher #classroomsystems #lessonplanning teacherplanner teacherworkflow organizedteacher

If you're spending hours planning lessons, especially trying to figure out how to make one lesson work for different learners, this is for you. Instead of starting from a blank page, give ChatGPT the information you already have and let it help you build the lesson. Save this post, open ChatGPT, and copy and paste this prompt: 📋 COPY + PASTE PROMPT: I am a teacher planning a lesson for [GRADE] students in [SUBJECT]. Here is the standard or learning objective: [PASTE STANDARD OR LEARNING OBJECTIVE] Here is the content, curriculum resource, or information I need to teach: [PASTE CONTENT] Create a complete, practical lesson plan that includes: A clear student-friendly learning objective A short engaging opening or hook Explicit teacher instruction A guided practice activity An independent or collaborative student activity A quick formative assessment or check for understanding An exit ticket Differentiation ideas for students who need additional support Extension ideas for students who are ready for more challenge At least one opportunity for meaningful student connection or engagement Keep the lesson realistic for an actual classroom. Avoid generic activities. Give me specific teacher language, questions I can ask students, and examples when helpful. Organize the response so I can easily turn it into my lesson materials. ~~~~~~~~~~~~ And here's the part I really want teachers to understand: AI doesn't have to replace your teacher brain. It can help you get the blank page out of the way so you can spend more of your energy on the part that actually matters: your students. Follow for practical AI tools and teacher systems that save you time and give you more capacity to be present with your students. ❤️
