One quick test can save an expensive mistake.
We always start with a tape test on tumblers for a reason. Catch alignment issues, fix them in LightBurn, and test again before engraving for real. Tape is cheap, tumblers aren’t.

1. Use a Honeycomb Base: Perfect for materials under 14mm on the iEngrave laser; it helps position the focus for cleaner cuts. Follow your laser’s guidelines.
2. Focus Height Matters: Keep the focal point at the correct height to avoid burns, harsh marks, or incomplete cuts.
3. Add Magnets: Provides extra lift to prevent burn marks and ensures cleaner cuts.
4. Glowforge Proofgrade Material: Quality wood and you can peel the liner right off so no sanding required!

Added a Lightburn camera to the laser and it made batching these keychains out a breeze! With the trace option I was able to cut out a jig that allowed to me swap them out and press start without having to mess with any alignment!
