Our newest arrival is an absolute BEAST at mealtimes! 😂 He doesn't seem to know he's only a few inches long—can you believe this lizard will grow up to be 4 ft! 😳

Dreadnoughts story! I never imagined stopping at a Petco back in 2023 to get some superworms would change my life so drastically. My heart broke when I saw her dying in a small enclosure. The employees there gave her to me for free since she was clearly a sick animal. Everyone I asked about her online said she would be dead within a week. Fast forward to today and she’s doing fantastic. But her story is the plight of thousands of wild caught Savannah monitors captured for the pet trade. Always get captive bred animals if you can and leave a comment about an animal you rescued and how that changed your life.
