Sometimes I have to remind myself to stop being so hard on me. “I need more clients.” “I need to be more consistent.” “I need to post more.” “I need to work harder.” Then I look at that little girl standing next to her mom… and I remember. Growing up in the Bronx, she NEVER imagined she would leave her neighborhood, move to Florida, raise a child, and become an entrepreneur. She never imagined trying a vending machine/gumball business, jewelry, becoming a drug testing/specimen collector, a Notary Public, Remote Online Notary, Notary Loan Signing Agent, digital creator, or learning how to build a business and actually show up on social media. She never imagined sitting in rooms she once never knew existed, connecting with people from all over the world, or becoming part of organizations that empower her community and youth. And the crazy part? This is still just the beginning. Entrepreneurship has been a roller coaster. There have been wins, losses, pivots, doubts, and moments where I questioned if I was doing enough. But I have to remind myself: I am not where I used to be. So if you’re an entrepreneur feeling behind, remember to look back before you look ahead. The goal is important… but so is honoring the journey that got you here. Keep going. Keep building. Keep believing. Little me never imagined this life.
