Ah, the Longwoods — proof that not every part of the Te Araroa is a postcard. 😂 But hey… at least my shoes got a full mud facial and my legs an unintended strength workout! 🦵 🥾 In all fairness, this section of the Te Araroa is still stunningly beautiful… when you manage to get your eyes off your footing for a moment, you’re surrounded by an utterly magical forest straight out of a fairy tale… think Lord of the Rings meets the Somme 🤔🌳😂 There will no doubt be more mud and wet feet to come on this adventure, but for now I’m glad to have ticked off the Longwoods ✅👊 #ospreyaustralia #TeAraroaTrail #LongwoodsForest #NZHiking #TrailReality #HikingHumour #AdventureCulture #HikeMoreWorryLess #ExploreNZ #TrailFails #BackpackingNZ
