Did YOU know that Love street wasn’t always called Love Street? Most people don’t, but there’s a lot of love here worth sharing. Evelyn Evie Loveless Clemones born August 21, 1907 in Rome, Georgia married William Mckinley Clemones at around 16 years old and they started a farm that would later become known as the Clemones Farm in Rome, Georgia. In the late forties she and her husband WM Clemones were en route to West Palm Beach to visit her sister May Loveless Loyd when they noticed a sign in Jupiter that said “Land for Sale”. They stopped and met a lady named Emily Sperry (Sperry & Hutchison of S&H Green stamps) who was the owner of the property. After being shown the property, they told her they would like to purchase it but would need to go to the bank and return the following day. As the story goes, Mrs. Sperry replied, “sure you will, that’s what they all say”. Needless to say, they returned with the money the next day as promised and purchased peices of the property including the main house and the present area of Suni Sands. After purchasing the property they were able to bring the farm workers from Georgia who were not farming in the winter months to begin clearing the land in a primitive manner by using machetes and plows. They then constructed the streets. The streets were named Clemones Street after WM Clemones and Loveless Street after Evelyn Loveless. They also started the Suni Sands Mobile Home Park in 1949. Years later in the seventies, one of the four residents on Loveless Street, Vivien Ryder who was known for swimming in the inlet with her black lab and bathing cap wrote a letter to the town requesting to change the name of the street from Loveless to Love. ...and the town did just that❤️ . . . #juplife #lovestreet #jupiterflorida

🚨 Here’s a story about how I lost my house in a landslide in the Hollywood Hills. It was one of the rainiest winters on record in LA. I was living with my wife in a charming bungalow in Laurel Canyon. One day my wife called me outside and pointed to a thick crack in the foundation — about two inches. I said, “No, that’s not ok.” I planned to get someone out after the rain stopped, but it just kept raining. The crack got wider. Finally, my friend who’s a contractor came by in the rain and said, “I don’t know man, I wouldn’t stay here tonight.” Packing up my wife and cat to get a hotel didn’t sound fun, so I decided to let it go. But something told me — take your wife to a hotel just in case. The next morning we came back — the entire patio was dangling, like a hangnail. Half the house was hanging off the cliff. The fire department showed up and said, “You have fifteen minutes to grab whatever you can.” My wife grabbed clothes. I grabbed the instruments. We never returned. I loved that little bungalow — I proposed to my wife there. It made the Daily Mail. The landslide shut down Laurel Canyon Blvd for months. And the crazy part? We ended up moving right back onto the same hillside we lost the house on. I’m glad we made it out. At the time, I was recording an album with my band and a legendary producer — all while living in a hotel with my wife and cat. But we made it.
