I remember the exact moment everything clicked. I was at the store, cart full of the “usual” – those colorful pouches, crackers in individual packages, frozen nuggets promising my kids would actually eat dinner. Then I saw the total😳 And I thought... what am I even paying for? I grabbed one of the boxes and started reading. Enriched flour, soybean oil, “natural flavors,” fifteen ingredients I’d never use in my own cooking. I was paying so much for convenience foods that weren’t even really convenient – or food, honestly. So I started buying the “better” brands but man did those come with a premium price tag. That’s when I stopped trying to find better options at the store and started making them IN my kitchen instead. And I’m not going to lie – the first few weeks felt chaotic. But then I found my rhythm, and everything I was worried about? It became second nature. Because here’s what I discovered: you don’t need more time. You need the RIGHT recipes. The homemade versions? My kids demolished them. Our grocery budget? Cut in half. That constant guilt about what I was feeding my family? Finally gone. Now when I open my pantry, I see real ingredients. When we sit down for dinner, I know exactly what everyone is eating. My Ultimate Homemade Kitchen Bundle is literally everything that got me here – 280+ pages of the recipes that changed our kitchen, our budget, and honestly our whole food story. No complicated techniques. No judgment. Just the straightforward, “here’s what actually works” roadmap I wish someone had handed me three years ago. This resource has helped thousands of families take back their kitchens—and I promise you, if I can do this feeding 7 people three meals a day, you absolutely can too. 💛 This is the year you stop settling. The year you feel PROUD of what’s on your table. The year you finally take back your kitchen. Full recipe below for the softest burger buns ever (if you bring these to your summer bbq everybody will love you) <3 Ingredients: Makes 8-9 burger buns For the dough: 345 All Purpose flour 115g water (warm if your house is cold) 150g sourdough starter or discard 9g instant yeast 1 large egg 1 large egg yolk 75g honey (or sugar) 28g salted butter, softened 10g salt If you’re *not* using sourdough discard: Use 400g flour and 197g water, and keep all other measurements the same. Optional egg wash: Thoroughly mix together 1 egg yolk with a small splash of milk or cream. —- Instructions 1. To make the dough: Combine all dough ingredients except for the butter in the bowl of a stand mixer. Mix on low speed for a minute or two until the flour is all absorbed, then mix on high speed for about 10 minutes until you have a soft, smooth dough that’s close to passing the windowpane test. 2. Add the softened butter & mix well until all combined and the dough is strong again (it might look stringy at first, keep mixing). If you’d like to give your mixer a break, you can mix by hand for this last stage (it will be a workout and take longer). 3. Mix until the dough is smooth, strong, and shiny. Shape it into a ball in the mixing bowl and cover. Let rise until it’s nearly doubled in size, about 1 to 2 hours. If your house is cold make sure to let it rise somewhere warm like in the oven with the light on. 4. To shape the buns: Gently divide into 8 buns, each weighing around 92g. Shape each piece into a ball. Cup your hands & pull the dough ball towards you to tighten the outer layer and create a smooth, round dough ball. Place buns on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Cover & let rise in a slightly warm environment until very puffy, about an hour or more depending on the temp of your house. Toward the end of the rising time, preheat the oven to 375°F. 5. Once risen, paint on some egg wash & sprinkle w/ coarse sea salt or sesame seeds before baking. 6. Bake for about 18-23 minutes, or until the middle of a roll reads 190F on a thermometer. Enjoy! #madefromscratch #easyrecipe #bakingtutorial #sourdough

I’ll never forget the day I actually READ the back of the box. I was buying the same snacks I always did, the ones with the friendly packaging and the claims about “whole grains” on the front. But when I flipped it over? Enriched flour, high fructose corn syrup, soybean oil, artificial flavors, preservatives I’d never heard of... and I was paying $8 for it. I stood there thinking: I would never cook with these ingredients at home. So why am I paying someone else to? That’s when something shifted for me. I started making the homemade versions instead. And honestly? I was nervous it would take over my life. That I’d be stuck in the kitchen all day just to have basic snacks on hand. But here’s what actually happened over the last 4 years: I found my rhythm. I learned which recipes were truly easy and which ones my kids actually loved. And suddenly, our grocery budget dropped by HUNDREDS while our pantry filled with real food. The crackers I used to buy for $6? Now cost me $1.50 to make and my kids like them better. Those $12 frozen waffles? I batch them on Sunday and freeze them myself for a fraction of the cost. The granola bars, the bread, the chicken nuggets, all of it!! I stopped paying someone else to process real ingredients into something less nutritious and way more expensive. My Ultimate Homemade Kitchen Bundle is exactly what got me here. 280+ pages of the recipes that changed everything for my family. the ones that actually work for busy moms who don’t have hours to spend in the kitchen. No shame. No perfection required. Just straightforward recipes that taste amazing, save you money, and use ingredients you’d actually choose to cook with. This is the year you stop overpaying for ingredients you wouldn’t use. The year you feel confident about what’s in your pantry. The year you take back your kitchen. My top 3 secrets to feeding my family of 7 from scratch without losing my mind: 1. Sunday Prep Sessions I spend 1-2 hours every Sunday cutting veggies for the week, portioning meats into bags with marinades, or prepping whatever I can in advance. When dinner time hits, I’m not starting from zero—I’m just assembling and cooking. I also try to make a few snack options that we can pull from all week. 2. Batch Cook & Freeze Everything Anytime I’m making something that freezes well, I’m doubling or tripling it. Muffins? I’m making a triple batch. Soup? Doubling it every single time. Bread? You better believe I’m making extras. If I’m already pulling out the flour and getting my hands messy for french bread, I’m making 6 loaves - not one. It’s the same amount of work, same cleanup, but I’ve just stocked my freezer for weeks. 3. Rotate Meals Every 6 Weeks This changed EVERYTHING. I plan 6 weeks of dinners and just rotate through them. No more decision fatigue, no more “what’s for dinner?” panic. My Meals Made Easy book has the exact system I use to make this work—it includes 6 weeks of family-friendly dinners designed for this rotation method with grocery lists for you. The secret to cooking from scratch isn’t perfection—it’s systems. And these three habits keep our family fed without the overwhelm. Want my recipes + meal planning systems in one place?
