Not every letter ends its journey when it’s delivered. 💌There’s something quietly poetic about beginning with a letter that has already lived one life. Today’s make is an original vintage airmail envelope used as a canvas, layering stamps, labels, and #illustrations. The birds felt fitting. Let’s make postcard art from the recycling bin! I love picking up fun supplies from the art store but honestly, nothing beats finding free supplies in the trash. Plus 🌎♻️! Materials: chipboard from a box (i.e. cereal, crackers, frozen samosas-yum),collage scraps, glue, paint Postcard sizes in the U.S. range from 3.5”x5” to 4.25”x6” to qualify for the first-class mail postcard price. 💌 Would you like to get this in the mail? In January I doubled my mail club members and was lucky enough to send out 46 letters 💌 Each month I send out a letter, something special like a lino print, but most importantly 2 post card prints of my art. The point of sending two is so that we can start a movement of having real authentic connections again. One post card is for you, and one is for you to write a letter to someone else. It’s $12 a month for Australians, or $15aud if you’re from overseas. Join by the 20th of each month to get that months edition #australianartist #goldcoastartist #snailmail #mailclub #mailart #printclub

Dieser Umschlag war ein Projekt von Jillian @pbandjillian und war so fröhlich, das mitskizziert habe und ihn jetzt erst fertig gemalt habe. Früher war es für mich das Größte, mit meiner Brieffreundin die buntesten, bemaltestem, beklebtesten Umschläge auszutauschen. Ich glaub, das sitzt tief. Liebe es einfach, schöne Umschläge zu bekommen.
