Everyday energy @manukadrnz These Manuka Honey Marshmallows are quick and easy to make using only 4 ingredients. Recipe: - 1 cup Manuka Honey - 1 cup Water - 1/4 cup gelatine powder - Cornstarch to stop them from sticking Full of natural energy and antibacterial properties, these make for the perfect guilt-free treat! Side note: Gelatine powder is an ingredient I’ve used in the past to support joint, ligament and tendon strength/repair. This is most effective when taken alongside vitamin C (which funnily enough can be found in Manuka Honey) 🍯 #manukadoctor #manukahoney

AD Manuka Honey is a unique type of honey that only comes from the Manuka bush in New Zealand. I have been buying MANUKA DOCTOR for a while so when they approached me for a collab I was super excited 🍯 Manuka has been around for hundreds of years, but has really grown in popularity since the 1980’s when health food fans discovered it’s wellness properties. MGO stands for Methylglyoxal which is a naturally occurring compound which scientists agree provides an antibacterial effect; which is why Manuka is sometimes used in hospitals and even vet surgeries on wounds and dressings because it kills bugs and prevents infections. It’s the same principle when you take it. Many people like to hold the honey in their mouth until it dissolves, because if you have a cough or sore throat, this is where you want it to do its work. Others prefer to swallow a spoonful each day so the honey gets to work in their stomach. I usually have mine in a hot drink but my children who are 5 and 8 years old swallow a spoonful every day. TIP - always make sure the water isn’t just boiled, let it cool a little first as the extreme heat can damage some of the natural compounds in the Manuka.
