Nothing says cozy quite like maple cookies fresh out of the oven. 🍁
These soft, chewy cookies bring together dark brown sugar, warm vanilla, and the rich flavor of pure maple syrup for a classic Vermont-inspired treat. The maple syrup adds natural sweetness and depth that makes every bite feel like a little taste of sugaring season.
What you’ll need:
• 2 ⅓ cups all-purpose flour
• 1 tsp baking soda
• ¼ tsp salt
• ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
• 1 cup packed dark brown sugar
• 1 egg
• ⅓ cup pure maple syrup
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
Cream the butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy, then mix in the egg, maple syrup, and vanilla. Combine the dry ingredients and blend into the batter until a soft dough forms. Chill the dough for at least 2 hours, scoop into cookie dough balls, and bake at 350°F for 12–13 minutes until the edges are set and the centers stay soft.
The result? A perfectly soft cookie with that unmistakable pure maple flavor.

In a large bowl, beat the butter & the maple syrup together until well combined. Add the egg and whisk until the mixture well combined.
In a separate bowl, whisk the flour, baking soda, and salt.
