Couldn't have asked for nice weather and better conditions for the 35th @laddiesloppet mountain bike weekend! Thanks to everyone that came, the volunteers, the sponsors and everyone that helped made it a great weekend and all the Maplelag riders that wave the flag so nicely. We will be donating $1500 from registration proceeds to the Dean Vetter and Jeff Hall families as they recover from cycling incidents this summer. We are already looking forward to year 36! #keepthewheelsmoving
Couldn't have asked for nice weather and better conditions for the 35th @laddiesloppet mountain bike weekend! Remembering the magic of @maplelagresort this morning. I made this reel several months ago, before the tragic fire that burned the main lodge down. We plan our retreats a year plus in advance. As I’m pulling together initial plans for winter 2024 I can’t help but remember the great memories made at Maplelag. #memories #exploremn #maplelag #borealblissyogaretreats #mnwinterwonderland

A great day hosting the 30th annual Detroit Lakes Invite Nordic Ski Meet. Nearly 400 enthusiastic skiers from northern, western and central Minnesota convened at Maplelag as Varsity, Junior Varsity, and Jr High skiers competed on the natural snow covered Skaters Waltz in skate races. Always a fun day. Nice to see the newly formed team from Red Lake nation make way to Maplelag! Great job to all the skiers! #DLinvite #xcskimeet #justski #maplelag

The energy and vibe was awesome and got us excited for the final race in the @mnmtbseries over Labor Day weekend. Lodging and camping spots still open for this fun weekend of racing, great home cooked meals, lake activity, bonfires and live music! #mountainbike #singletrackcamp #maplelag
Last week the @laddiesloppet course was host to the @stillwatermtb team for a four day training camp. The energy and vibe was awesome and got us excited for the final race in the @mnmtbseries over Labor Day weekend. The weekend was about letting go of expectations. Our original venue, beloved Maplelag burned down. We found an alternative venue that exceeded all expectations at Camp du Nord. I (Amanda) have been looking forward to this retreat for a year as it’s a special time for me to spend time with some of my favorite people in the world but ended up leaving early due to a hoarse voice and cough. I let go and trusted all would be well. And of course, it was! We may have gotten lost on the sprawling campus more than once, but we also let go and embraced the wild expanses of the unknown. I love these lyrics: oh lord We thank you for joy, we thank you for pain. We thank you for sunshine we thank you for rain. It’s a beautiful day. ❤️❤️❤️❤️ thank you for coming and for letting go of expectations.

Final interior project in Brant cabin is complete....the bathrooms! We used large oak blocks from a recent storm blow down and reclaimed timbers from the old lodge to finish. #dayusearea #rebuild2024 #maplelag
