Was there a Gus the Brick Tortoise waiting for you this holiday season? 🐢 We would love to know! We sold out of these little friends very quickly (in less than two hours!), but not to worry! There will be more in 2024. You can see Gus the Brick Tortoise in the special exhibit, Bricks By The Sea, on now until early January. And be sure to visit the real Gus the Gopher Tortoise, who goes for his daily walk at 3pm! Признавайтесь, было? 😅 На самом деле это шутка. Я очень люблю своего тренера и её тренировки, что даже прихожу к ней в воскресенье вечером ❤️‍🔥 @mari_lug_ 🫶

Have you heard of Woody the Christmas tree? 🎄 He is a talking Christmas tree that arrives annually for the holidays at a mall in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. There have been three versions of Woody throughout the years. The first Woody debuted in 1983 with a mouth made with branches. The second Woody had a paper mâché face and limited movements. The third and current Woody, which was introduced in 2021 after a long hiatus, can easily move its eyes and mouth as a voice greets children and adults alike. Woody is internationally known Canadian icon and has even appeared on Jimmy Fallon. It's highly debated whether Woody is cute or creepy. No matter which side of the debate you're on, Lego Woody can be spotted in the holiday exhibit Bricks by the Sea at the Nova Scotia Museum of Natural History! 🎄 . . . . . #themaritimehistorian #woody #woodythechristmastree #bricksbythesea #marilug #lego #holidaylego #christmaslego #mnh #museumofnaturalhistory #nsmuseum #nsmuseumofnaturalhistory

MariLUG Maritime Mosaic Assembly Despite the bad weather many of our members showed up to lend a hand at assembling the mosaic and decorating the Christmas tree! Thanks to everyone that participated! A very special thanks to Shawn for organizing the mosaic build. To those who began the assembly of the mosaic. (We still have lots of squares to assemble) Also a huge thanks goes to everyone who sent us ornaments to decorate the tree. Thank you to the Museum of Natural History and Owen who host and organize Bricks By The Sea every year. #Lego #LegoCanada #LegoNovaScotia #LegoHalifax #LegoLUG #marilug #BricksByTheSea #BricksByTheSea2024

This is the nutcracker that I designed for the MARILUG nutcracker event. My good friend HFX_BRX approached me to build a cool maritime themed nutcracker for the event. This fisherman's fishing pole is a candy cane and his catch is a Christmas tree fish! My fisherman nutcracker will be displayed at Bricks By The Sea between the 2nd of December and the 7th January. During this time, nutcrackers from LUGs across Canada will be displayed! Pardon my lackluster puppetry skills #lego #legomoc #legoinspiration #legophotography #legofan #legophoto #instalego #moc #legoart #legolife #legomania #legocreator #tbbme #legoafol #legoaddict #legolove #afol #bricklink #brick_vision #legocommunity @hfx_brx #legonutcracker #legochristmas #legoxmas #legohalifax #legosea #legocanada #novascotia #bricksbythesea2023
