Soft ears🌟a snoot you can boop🌟flexible toes🌟iridescent fur🌟probably the best soft mount I made so far 💖

Can you guess what he was eating? 😳
Was out on an early morning hike to catch the sunrise when I stumbled upon this little guy. He was caught in a wire snare and completely terrified.
My heart just broke seeing him so scared. He was hissing and trying to back away, not realizing I was there to help. Poor thing must have been there for a while. 🥺
I moved as slowly as I could, talking to him to try and keep him calm. It was so tense trying to work the wire off his little paw without hurting him or getting bitten myself.
The feeling of relief when the snare finally came loose was incredible. He took off like a rocket! Watching him run free back into the wild was the best part of my day, maybe my year. ❤️
So glad I was in the right place at the right time. Stay safe out there, little buddy. 🙏

Bernd.

Cute, bold, feisty and ferocious… if these characteristics have to be mapped in the world of small mammals, the yellow throated marten would surely be amongst the top contenders for these traits.
