“Max Mix 1” is the first volume of the iconic Spanish DJ megamix series created by Javier Ussía and Mike Platinas. It introduced fast-cut mixing and helped popularize Italo Disco in Spain. The first release in 1985 became a classic, setting the style for the Max Mix series that dominated the late 80s. By the early 1980s, Spain’s club scene was exploding with Italo Disco, Hi-NRG, and imported dance music. Yet professionally crafted megamixes were still rare. In 1983–1984, entrepreneurs Miguel Degá and Ricardo Gómez founded Max Music, a label specializing in dance compilations. They recognized that Spain needed a flagship mix series something to match or surpass European counterparts like Disco Mix Club (DMC) and their answer was the MAX MIX! What made Max Mix 1 different was its narrative structure: instead of random transitions, it flowed like a story, with tension, climaxes, and comedic elements something rare outside studio-production megamixes. The exact lineup varied across editions and Max Mix 1 included snippets from the leading Italo Disco acts of the era. DISCLAIMER: I hereby declare that I do not own the rights to this music/song. McMiker G & DJ Sven cantaron este tema en 1986. En España fue incluido en el MaxMix 4 pero cantado por @toni_peret y @jose_maria_castells ya que por aquel entonces la discográfica no les cedía los derechos de autor. . #nostalgiadelos80s #maxmix #maxmusic #mcmikerg #djsven
