Plus, enjoy the Garden Party on the lawn with live music, activities and local food trucks for a great spring picnic! Details: 🏡 Maymont Mansion Open House & Garden Party 🗓️ Saturday, March 21, 2026 📍 Enter at the Hampton Street gates (1700 Hampton St., Richmond, Virginia) ⏰ Event hours: 10am to 4pm (the park will be open until 7pm) ℹ️ Scheduled guided tours: 11am, 2pm, 3pm (self-guided otherwise) FREE admission ~ d o n a t i o n s welcomed! Can’t make it but want to tour? Self-guided experiences, audio tours and guided tours of the mansion will resume on March 22. The Robins Nature Center showcases the animals & plants of the James River & Chesapeake Bay. You can explore the ecology of the James River through 30,000 gallons of aquaria, animal encounters, interactive exhibits & lots of play! My kids love to see the animals and playing on the “rocks,” in the beaver lodge & the River Reach. It’s a 34 feet tall climbing sculpture! Right now you can also see fish, turtles, reptiles, river otters… and a pair of 2-month-old female porcupettes!
