9 going on 13. 🤦🏻‍♀️ I was that kid. I was constantly getting in trouble for talking too much in class and it was always mentioned in my report cards. My parents were probably tired of hearing about it. As an adult, I can understand how my behaviour was disruptive for my teacher who was tasked with managing 20 kids. I didn’t like getting in trouble but a lot of times, I felt I couldn’t help it. I loved school, I enjoyed learning and I relished being among my friends. Thankfully, my elementary school report cards had no bearing on where I ended up. I eventually got my act together and used the classroom as a spring board to Stanford.
