We’re delighted to announce Mencap Myth Buster Harvey has become a Guinness World Records title holder for the longest train drawing (II).
Harvey, who lives at National Star College, began the mammoth 21.3m long and 1m high drawing of a Thameslink train during Learning Disability Week on the 19th June.
Harvey’s mum, Katie Price said: “I’m absolutely thrilled for Harvey; I can’t believe he’s got his own Guinness World Record! It’s fantastic! He’s worked so hard on completing his drawing and I think he’s done amazingly well. We officially have a Guinness World Record holder in the family and everyone is so happy for him.”
Harvey’s Art Tutor at National Star, Louise Adams said: “Harvey worked incredibly hard on this 20m train. It was a very physical challenge, but Harvey demonstrated what a focused young man he is with an impeccable knowledge of trains. We are very proud of Harvey for what he has achieved throughout this challenge.”

We recently invited @Mencap Richmond to West Middlesex University Hospital as part of our nurses training session.
The highlight of the session was hearing directly from five Mencap service users, who shared their experiences in hospital and receiving care. Their stories give us valuable insight on what works well - and where the NHS can and must continue to do better 🩷
More than 20 nurses attended the session, which was designed to build upon understanding of how to provide more inclusive and compassionate care for people with learning disabilities.
