Not a hybrid, it's a heirloom tomato called Micro Dwarf tomato 🍅 I am forever smitten with these tiny tomato laden plants 🥰 I like to experiment and I planted 3 saplings in a single tiny pot to see if they'll be happy enough to fruit and this is the result! But I placed the pot in the lee side and the plants got leggy. They're best kept in full sun right from sowing stage so that the plants are truly compact and won't need staking as the short/strong compact plant can support amazing amount of fruits by itself. I grow them in winter and it takes less than 90 days from sowing to harvest.(Number of days will vary slightly according to different climate/growing conditions). I can grow 2 batches of these micro dwarves back to back in winter and my second batches are already flowering at approx 40 days. My Favourite Tomato Variety! 🍅👈🏻 Every growing season I grow 20+ varieties of tomatoes in the green house and poly tunnel, many of them trials of new varieties I’ve not grown before, yet even after another year of experimentation, id still say that this would be the variety I’d choose if I could only grow one! 🍅😊🌱 Costoluto Fiorentino is a large, ribbed beefsteak tomato variety, originally from the Tuscany region in Italy. 🇮🇹 It produces a really heavy crop, is good for canning and preservation and is just an all round great looking tomato with a flavour to match. 😋🍅 I grow them as annual plants, here in the UK, but I save seed from a couple of the best examples to grow the following season. And I’ve found that they then acclimatise to my local conditions here and grow better and more resilient each year. So what’s your favourite tomato variety? It's also called a "spoon" or "currant" tomato and contains a ton of the genetic diversity in the overall tomato gene pool, meaning it can improve existing varieties with more disease resistance and tolerance to harsh growing conditions. It grows like a weed, sprawling all over the place and is difficult to contain to a trellis...also quite annoying to harvest as it's nearly impossible to find all of the the tiny toms!

I harvested these tomatoes two weeks ago. The first variety was red beauty tomatoes. One of the good-looking varieties of tomatoes in my garden. It tastes all right. Mild flavor but is meaty. Perfect for making sauce. They sure are a pretty variety! ❤️🍅 This season, I am not preserving that many things from the garden like last year. It was lots of work, and we enjoyed eating things fresh. So, This year, I shared some of my crops with family and friends more. It feels wonderful to give and share what you grow.
