The Monbrey MB2 Kenkyū by @monbrey_watches 🤩
How do you like that dial?
It is inspired by the decorations on samurai weaponry and armour. The result is - in my humble opinion - very beautiful.
Dimensions are 37.5 x 11.8 x 45mm and the watch is powered by the Miyota 9039 automatic movement.
Lug width is 20mm and water resistance is 100m, making this watch a great mix between a dress watch (a leather strap is also included) and a sports watch 🤩

The new Monbrey MB2 T3 – Fumé Brown is something really special.
The 37.5mm case is sharply cut, with brushed and polished surfaces that play beautifully with the light. Compact on the wrist, but full of presence.
Inside beats the reliable Miyota 9039, protected against magnetic fields. But what truly sets this MB2 T3 apart is the dial: a fumé brown “jewel steel” dial. Depending on the light, you see deep shades of brown, shimmering highlights and textures that almost feel alive – like having a new watch every time you look at it.
For me, this is the kind of piece that’s sporty yet refined. Perfect for daily wear, but with enough character to keep you staring at it again and again.

Switched the bracelet on the Monbrey to the black leather strap that came with the set, and the contrast with the green dial is just perfect.
The engraved ‘Monbrey’ on the clasp adds a refined touch, and the texture feels premium.
Also loving the clean caseback, featuring just their logo. The green, stainless steel, and black combination creates a great color palette.

Day 3 of scratching this watch for every 100 followers
@monbrey_watches were kind enough to part take on this artistic / crazy project. Thank you again for providing the gorgeous subject.
I find myself wearing this watch much more often now than perhaps I would have. Not because of the scratch but because it tells a story. The watch has some meaning behind it more than just a store purchase. I wouldn’t recommend you go out and intentionally scratch your watches but if you should accidentally scratch it while doing something fun, I would reconsider polishing it away. Maybe it’s worth keeping that imperfection as a reminder of a wonderful time had.
