Sailing La Vagabonde is taking it back.. our videos are about to look a lot like the first videos we EVER made 🙈⛵️. A spur of the moment decision landed us on this 35ft monohull (thanks to @torrenmartyn , we’re just borrowing her but she’s actually for sale guys!) while we wait for our trimaran to be finished in Vietnam. We are all tied up at 1 - 1 over the years, so this is our third and final race to see if a Jamie 465 catamaran can beat an Amel 53 monohull on a 450 nautical mile open ocean race from the Marquesas to the Tuamotu islands in French Polynesia. Tune in again in roughly 3 days to see who is the champ!!

Yelkenli tekne dalga ile devrilir mi ? Öncelikle bahsettiğimiz tekneler tek gövdeli tekneler ve bu bilgi katamaran gibi tekneleri kapsamaz. Aksine katamaranlar monohull yani tek gövdeleri teknelere göre çok daha fazla devrilme ihtimali taşır ancak günümüzde üretilmiş fabrikasyon tekneleri devirmek mümkün değildir. Bir diğer bilgi ise atlantik ve pasific gibi slot aralığı geniş olan dalga yapısındaki denizlerde tekne boyundan yüksek dalgadan inerken yanal değil dikey olarak devrilmek mümkündür. Ancak sağlıklı üretilmiş ve balast oranı %33 ‘ ün üstünde olan her tekne kendini doğrultmayı başaracaktır. Yanal olarak 125 derece yatabilen yelkenliler üretimlerinde bu testten geçerek seri üretime geçilmektedir , tek gövdeli tekneler dünyanın en güvenli deniz ulaşım araçlarıdır.
