I had a whole gallon of milk in the fridge that was about to expire, and since we don’t drink regular milk, I usually just cook with it. So I decided why not make mozzarella cheese? I haven’t done this since I was in school, so I was way too excited to try it again. Let me tell you… making things homemade is always the move. This cheese turned out so good. Quick tip though: if you eat it right after you make it, it’s going to be soft not that classic mozzarella texture yet but the flavor is definitely there. If you let it rest like I did, you’ll get that real mozzarella consistency we all recognize. If you’ve never tried making mozzarella at home, please do yourself a favor and try it at least once.
