On February 4th, 2026, we welcomed the first group of students for the latest #FAMESInstitute orchestral adventure: Seminar 11. Divided in two courses, three mentors, three live performances, and dozens of rehearsals, workshops, and studio work, Seminar 11 marked a decisively successful opening to 2026 program. Here, we would like to present the Behind the Scenes for part one of Seminar 11's, Daniel Rowland's course: "From Studio to Stage". In the span of one week, Daniel and the students rehearsed, recorded, and performed three pieces: Peteris Vasks' "Musica dolorosa", Richard Strauss' "Metamorphosen", and Philip Glass' "The American Four Seasons". Throughout an intensive week of rehearsals and recording sessions, alongside a set of workshops and lectures, our participants developed new skills on the road to their professionalization. They delivered an incredible final performance at the Macedonian National Philharmonic on February 10th, 2026. Take a look at our FAME'S Institute during the week of "From Studio to Stage." 🦁 throwback to some roaring last week with the terrific @sinfonieorchesterstgallen under Modestas Pitrenas in Mahler’s DAS LIED VON DER ERDE 🦁 always a literal thrill to be amid the tremendous power of Mahler’s orchestration—a really otherworldly combination with this extremely evocative poetry: Im Mondschein auf den Gräbern hockt eine wildgespenstische Gestalt - Ein Aff ist’s! Hört ihr, wie sein Heulen hinausgellt in den süßen Duft des Lebens! // In the moonlight, on the graves, perches a wild, ghostly figure. It is an ape! Do you hear how its howling shrieks outward into the sweet scent of life?

We are proud to feature our 2021 Young Artist Competition winner, @fabianjohannesegger , as this month’s TFF Hall of Fame Artist! ✨ Fabian Johannes Egger is a remarkable flutist recognized for his early musical journey. Since 2016, he has been studying at the Pre-College of the Mozarteum University and is currently part of Prof. Andrea Lieberknecht’s flute class in Munich. A recipient of numerous international awards and multiple first prizes in competitions, including TFF’s Young Artist Competition, the Aeolus International Competition, and the Kobe International Flute Competition, Fabian has showcased his talent at prestigious festivals worldwide, such as the Salzburg Mozart Week, the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival, and Arsonore Graz. He has performed as a soloist with various orchestras, including the Salzburg Chamber Soloists, the Mitteldeutsches Kammerorchester, the Bad Reichenhall Philharmonic, and the Mozart Children’s Orchestra. A gifted composer, Fabian has had his works featured on BR radio and remains passionate about both performance and improvisation, continually captivating audiences with his artistry. 🎥 @takhim_flute and @embladana

In Gustav Mahler’s Symphony No. 3, the Posthorn is meant to sound from far away. On stage, Francesco Lecce-Chong shaped every phrase and led the orchestra through one of Mahler’s most magical moments. Behind the scenes, Omar made the illusion possible — carefully timing the opening and closing of the doors so the sound could drift in from the lobby. 🎺 A little distance. A lot of teamwork.

Joseph Ognibene, soloist and long-time member of the Iceland Symphony Orchestra, founding member of the Reykjavík Wind Quintet and prize-winner at the Prague Spring International Music Competition.
