Just in case anyone out there hasn’t heard about how dual-degree MD/PhD programs = waived entire tuition + a living stipend throughout
What a financial burden it is to pursue medicine. The cost of applications, MCAT exam taking, MCAT prep, and the time and lack of need for income in order to get clinical or research experience is ridiculous! It takes so much money just to apply or to even think about applying to med school. Then the tuition is so much after all that. While it doesn’t help much for the barriers in applying to med school (there are still resources!), at least an MD/PhD program can support you in your training.
