i have always wanted to share the beauty of this mountain with many different people. life said, bet🙂↕️
feeling so grateful to be living in my purpose. it was such an honor to share this mountain with two amazing families for 3 days. we laughed, made bets, drank lots of water, ate even more, lived fully and presently on the mountain and just being.
honored to have led this team and it was so amazing to see them all make it to Point Lenana (4,985). thankful to the families for the trust. i learnt a lot while at it. made lots of memories too. it was so great working alongside our team of guides and the rest of the mountain crew. it really does take a whole Avi village.

Finally got a chance to edit this video from my Mt.Kenya day dash back in June.

Magical Lake Ellis!
Yesterday, we hiked our way to this little piece of heaven, and honestly, the beauty was unmatched. From the stunning landscapes to the serene waters and the majestic Mt. Kenya backdrop, every moment was worth the climb.
Some places you visit, and some places leave you speechless. Lake Ellis is definitely one of them.

Hiking Mt Kenya via Sirimon Route ⛰️
Grateful that I got to experience this and genuinely hope more people get to experience hiking Mount Kenya at least once in their lifetime.
So I made this series with one goal: to help at least one person who has always dreamed of getting to Point Lenana figure out how to actually make it happen.
A few important things I left out of the video: 👇🏼
- We had porters who carried our heavier backpacks to and from base camp. We only hiked with our day bags, giving us much more freedom to enjoy the trail.
- We had a chef who prepared our dinner, breakfast and lunch throughout the trip.
- We also had a guide with us throughout the hike. (Shoutout to @robergitonga , he gave us an amazing experience)
- Sleeping at the base camp which is 4,200m above sea level is a whole other experience. Be prepared for a VERY cold night. Pack warm clothes, a warm sleeping bag and be prepared for possible altitude sickness symptoms.
- Sleeping at base camp, you can either camp in tents outside or sleep in the banda. We opted for the banda. It is accommodating enough with the bunk beds. 😆
