Multimatic has been a proud supporter of the Formula SAE competition for many years. One of the exciting ways we contribute is offering our innovative Spool Valve dampers to the student teams, adapting the same core technology found on championship-winning F1® and endurance racing sportscars.
As part of the program, teams are invited to the Multimatic Technical Centre to assemble their own dampers and tune their setup on our 4-post rig, guided by our suspension and vehicle dynamics engineers. We believe this to be a valuable opportunity that blends engineering principles with hands-on experience.
This year, we’re going behind the scenes with the @uoftfsae team to document their suspension tuning session. We’ll also check in with them at the Formula Electric Michigan competition to see how their hard work translates onto track.
