The office is where we spend most of our day, so we knew this space had to feel good, not just look good. We wanted it to be open, filled with light, and designed in a way that made everyone feel comfortable the moment they walked in. This part of the studio is where the energy really flows, from focused work to spontaneous chai breaks. And then there’s our lunch hangout, a little upstairs corner that honestly feels like the heart of the studio. It’s where we pause work, sit down on the floor, and share a meal together (no work talk allowed). • The floors are heavy-duty, scratch-resistant tiles from @nexiontiles, perfect for everything from team meetings to shoots • Wooden table/desk tops from designdemocracy1, they add just the right warmth without losing that studio vibe and comfortable chairs from @misuraaprojects • Curtains instead of blinds from @thepinkchampa to keep things soft, calm, and less corporate • Plants from @passion_green that bring a sense of life and ease into the space • The lounge area has a sofa from @magari.india and a beautiful rug from @jaipurrugs, it’s the first thing you see when you walk in, and we wanted it to feel inviting. • The SPC flooring here is from @squarefootindia, warm underfoot and easy to clean • Wall coverings from @marshallswallcoverings that make the space feel just a bit more special • Lunch hangout table was gifted to me by my dad at @essajees, making it one of the most meaningful things in the studio. • And the pantry cabinetry from @kuche7official , all clean-lined, and designed for daily use without feeling too industrial. This space brings us together, grounds us, and reminds us that the work we do is only one part of what we’re building. This cabin is my absolute dream come true. When we decided to move into a bigger space, I knew I wanted a corner that felt personal. A space I could walk around in, feel calm in, and just be myself. And now that it’s finally here, it’s better than I imagined. • My old desk came with me again. It’s from @classicmarblecompany and still one of my favourite pieces. • The flooring from @bharatfloorings is from our collaborative ‘evil eye’ collection and brings in a bit of play. • The totem from @scarlet_splendour, the sideboard & shelf from @maanavihomes are three of my favourite things here. The sideboard also holds everything from family photos to toys for my kids. Choco has his own little spot, of course. • We’ve even done these beautiful custom switchboards from @redcard_switches_n_automation, just a small detail that makes a big difference. • The sofa is from @beyondreams.in, and I love that I get a full view of the office from here. There’s a little TV too, and it’s become the cosiest private spot. • And yes, I now have my own bathroom. The standalone basin is from @milagrouniverse and the fittings are from @deltafaucetindia. Quiet, private, and very very appreciated. • The lights from our absolute favourite from @flos and blinds from @thepinkchampa. It’s everything I wanted. We do a lot of walkthroughs for our clients’ homes, but this one’s special. This is ours. ❤ Welcome to Essajees Atelier’s brand new office in South Mumbai, and I honestly can’t believe I get to say that. Making the move to a bigger space was nerve-wracking. But we did it, and I couldn’t be happier with how it’s turned out. When we took over this site, nothing was functional, and we had to strip it down completely. But that also meant we could rebuild it exactly how we wanted, starting right from the entrance. ✨ We kept the wooden door from the original site as a small nod to what came before. ✨The flooring at the entrance includes a recessed mat so dust stays out before you step in. ✨We have two waiting chairs from @hatsuofficial that are just enough for people to wait a few minutes before stepping inside. ✨Our old reception table got a full upgrade, now finished in liquid metal with a Kalinga terrazzo top. ✨Above it all, my favourite the wellness light from @sunrooof_ that adds the perfect amount of light to a place that had no natural light. ✨The beautiful art in the meeting room is from @studioartemist and the textured veneer is from @spaceonesurfaces Follow along to see the part of the space that feels straight out of The Intern.
