Joe Siess and Abbey McDonald were wonderful hosts for last night's event. They wasted no time jumping into it. Their journalism holding our city council accountable matters to our whole city, informing voters before the May 19 election. Thank you so much.

“The record here has been atrocious. Judges and grand juries alike have rejected retributive prosecutorial efforts aimed at Letitia James, aimed at Jim Comey, aimed and Senator Mark Kelly, Elissa Slotkin, on down the line.”

WATCH: @marg_brennan's full interview with top Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee, Rep. Jim Himes (D-CT).
The Court must follow the law. Period.
The 14th Amendment wasn’t a global birthright lottery.
It fixed Dred Scott and secured citizenship for freed slaves and their children.
It requires two things: birth here and allegiance here.
“Subject to the jurisdiction” means loyalty to the United States.
Not lawbreaking aliens exploiting loopholes.
If the children of American Indians don't qualify under the 14th Amendment, why would illegal aliens?
They wouldn’t. They don’t.
Thanks for having me, @megynkelly.
"In over 25 pages, Trump learned he is powerless to the kind of legal harassment that he's trying."
U.S. Rep. Summer Lee called out Republican Rep. James Comer, accusing the House Oversight Committee chairman of calling her a “b—h” during a closed-door meeting over the Epstein files.
The alleged remark occurred during an Oversight Committee briefing with Attorney General Pam Bondi, who was recently subpoenaed by the group of lawmakers for a deposition under oath about the Justice Department’s botched and slow release of the FBI files on child sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein.
Rep. Hakeem Jeffries, the House Democratic leader, blasted Comer for his “attacking” Congresswoman Lee, accusing him of “behaving like a malignant buffoon.”

Earlier today on #MorningJoe, I spoke with Jonathan Greenblatt, CEO of the Anti-Defamation League, about why we must speak out when hate targets any community.
We may not agree on everything, but violence against Jewish Americans has nothing to do with legitimate debate. Hate cannot be excused. Antisemitism, Islamophobia, racism, and scapegoating threaten the fabric of our democracy. When hate is normalized against one community, it eventually spreads to all.

@zeteo “We are in an undeclared state of war.”
After Mike Johnson says the US is not at war, and Donald Trump says it is, Lindsey Graham tells @premthakk a third answer: an “undeclared state of war” — which, he suggests, allows the US to illegally strike ships in international waters.

He is absolutely correct. It's almost as if these folks, who made their celebrity and living off conservativism and Trump, are now self-sabotaging. Listen to the points @joetalkshow makes in this one. Bottom line... Democrats, wrong, right or indifferent, stick together on liberal issues. The infighting amongst some Conservatives really has become tiresome and detrimental. If this keeps going, we will be right back to where we were in Trump's first term and set up for a potential disaster like Biden's term. "The infighting on the right is making it SO MUCH EASIER for the left. What exactly is going on with Candace, Tucker, Ben, Mark, Megyn.. etc?# #news #right #infighting #midterms
Are police stings actually reducing crime, or are they just creating it? From fake stash houses to bait trucks filled with sneakers, investigations into these tactics reveal a pattern that disproportionately targets minority communities. When 92% of those charged in a specific string of operations are Black or Hispanic, the justification for “where” these stings take place starts to look less like strategic law enforcement and more like systemic bias.
John Oliver dives into why these controversial undercover operations are raising serious questions about entrapment, community trust, and the difference between preventing crime versus baiting it.

Understanding Two Voting Bills Through Different Lenses
The SAVE Act and the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act both address voting rights, but they take very different approaches. The SAVE Act focuses on individual voter eligibility at registration, while the John Lewis Act focuses on system-level oversight and protections. Which approach would benefit the country the most?
